"Through our advisor, mr. H.L. Visser, we have heard that mr. Damien Allen, who has the abovementioned machinegun in his collection, has problems exporting said gun to the Netherlands for our museum, which guards the history and traditions of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (abbreviation in Dutch: KNIL) This is the only known former KNIL-Schwarzlose machinegun in the world marked with our Royal Crest, and as such very important to our museum.
We ask you kindly to consider if you can issue an export license for this gun to mr. Damien Allen, 6/68 Johnston Crescent Lane, Cove NSW 2066 Australia.
Your kind help will be much appreciated by me and my staff. Thank you in advance for your historic awareness."
