"Haks & Maris, p.213: Born in Vienna (Austria), 1 april 1886. She was a pupil of M. Heymann and B. Becker and attended the academy of arts in Munich (Germany). In 1927 the artist came to Java, where she settled in Bandung. She was a member of the "Batviasche Kunstkring" and participated in some of their exhibitions. Two of her sculptures were exhibited at the International Colonial Exhibition in Paris in 1931 and were there, unfortunately, destroyed by fire. Sculptress, painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and watercolourist. In her two-dimensional work her style can be described as impressionistic, using her "plein-air" drawn sketches as model for her larger size paintings.
