"Single panel textile with a warp-faced weave.
A bright yellow warp stripe marks the selvedge edges.
The rest of the textile has a black warp and black weft.
The fringes are red.
The warp ikat patterning in the body of the cloth is derivative of patterning in patola textiles.
A stiffener is found in the cloth, but especially in the fringes at one end of the cloth. This fringe still has the tight binding that was probably developed when the ikat patterning was tied and dyed, to keep it from shifting and distorting the pattern.
A black band without patterning marks the horizontal central axis of the cloth.
The cloth uses chemical dyes, and appears to be of recent production.
